Okay, here I am after the Christmas holidays. I'm feeling well but I really have to start studying soon (having exams on 3 and 4 January, bleh). Going to a pre-New Year party tomorrow with my altar server friends which will be funny because on real New Year I won't go anywhere. :(
I guess some of my friends from college will come to Budapest for a party in the Castle District (hardly anyone is from Budapest) but honestly, I really hate those kind of parties they will have. (Spending time in a small room where there is loud music so you can't hear your friends, music styles that I hate, cigarette smoke so that you can't breathe, no place for you to sit down, lots of drunk people etc)
I'd prefer those events when you can talk a lot with your friends, play games or make other fun things. Once my friends (whom I am going to meet tomorrow) and I decided to visit someone of us at 10 pm and we stayed by her until 2 am, talking, watching South Park and drinking red wine :D
So, now I have to find out what kind of cookies I shall bring there tomorrow. And, then, bake. I'll see. :D

And to see how unlucky I was during the Christmas holidays, I must tell that my immune system got very weak in the past few weeks, I was sick, had temperature (from being so over-stressed) on 24th in the morning. And as a rule, my mouth is full of aphtas AGAIN, so I literally couldn't taste those cookies my mum baked for Christmas, because after the second bite, the inside of my mouth started to ache SO bad that I had to stop eating. And they don't want to heal, they are still there, now I am sipping a glass of vermouth I got from my grandmother, she said I got it to heal those wounds :) she is so sweet, isn't she? :)

Ah, now I have to start studying or make something smart instead of being here in front of my computer for hours. :/

Whoa, I'm done with all school things until Christmas, so now it's time to make something more fun. :) I'm about to start preparations (just in time, am I right? :D) but I suppose I will make all these things until Christmas Eve. For example, I can't wait for the day (it might be Friday) when my mum and I will go and choose the christmas tree. Oh, that smell... it resembles Christmas so much, and it feels so good after being kinda sick from the big plazas' and companies' marketing attacks...
In the last two weeks, let's see, I had Finance of companies (I did kinda bad in this - I didn't fail but I want to get a better grade, so I'll write this again in January), IT test (still no results), Business etiquette and protocol presentation (well, this was FUN :D), Business law exam (this was pretty easy :))) and this week Statistics and today Operation research tests. Blah.
I also have to mention that I slept about 4 hours in the night so I'm about to faint... Tomorrow I guess I will go to a morning mass held in my past school. I really love morning masses and this one is unique because they have guitar music there. For me it means so much more than "ordinary" church music played by organs. Nah. Then I'll go shopping, get the perfume I chose especially for myself (that will be one of my Christmas gifts) and after then, I will meet my friend and we'll take a walk in the Castle District! I hope we'll have some more snow tomorrow.
And I really hope that my envelopes sent on Monday will arrive to their destinations until Christmas...

Ahhh, it was Christmas. Well, it's still Christmas :) but, anyway, I had a great time, being loved and this is wonderful :D
Thank you for all the wonderful moments I got from you and for your wonderful present, Aldona :)

And yeah, all the things I got will be posted here ;D
From my mum: business english dictionary (yeah, I asked for it, because I found it pretty hard to search for words on the internet), a pair of trainers, slippers for home use, a showergel and hand cream :D (and some money as well)
From my dad: prescription for a magazine, a CD by Nox (it also includes the title song of the 2006 Swimming EC) and a CD with Irish love songs XD
From my granny: some hazelnut spread ;), and a box of homemade cookies (with marmalade and nut in it... so nice :D)
From my godmum: a perfume from Avon (Treselle) and matching scent deo spray plus some Christmas tree decoration :D
From the Hungarian Christmas present swap: from a girl calld Orsi (m_maya): wonderful bracelet and matching earrings, lipgloss, 2 boxes of tea, a candle and a small fridgemagnet that shows her cat :D
From my best friend: a small kobold or (I don't really know what) that has dangly legs so he's now sitting on a shelf and swinging his legs XD.
And from Aldona, I got such a wonderful pack of Polish chocolates, fizzy drink powder, candies, and (Oh my God, how could I forget it) the opłatek with a nice letter. I love them sooo much :) Serdecznie dziękuję XD

Wishing you all a blessed rest of Christmas days :)

3 sleeps until Holy Night :) Can't wait... but, on the other hand, I'm veeeeery tired and exhausted, both from the exams (I got a 4!!!!! :D:D:D:D for my Eco-Geo exam! Fanfares, drumroll, etc) and from the usual Christmas rush here.
I don't like this rush, really. I was raised in this belief, that the Advent, before Christmas, is the period for looking into ourselves, for silence, hope and waiting for the Saviour's arrival... But what do I see here (and I guess I'd see the same in any of the bigger towns in the world)? When I go to a shop to look around, everybody's stomping on my feet to buy the best presents for his/her family, everybody thinks it's not a real holiday if we don't buy ourselves presents below 100000 forints (about a 380-400 € value) so they take out loans, even if they can't pay it back.

In Hungary, this is not Santa who brings the presents. It's baby Jesus, or Jézuska. And, this is the "problem" here. The big companies like Vodafone and the others of course want to advertise themselves before Christmas BUT they still use sentences like "Santa has better things to do... come to us for presents instead" Right. I understand that Jézuska isn't as photogenic as Santa and it's harder to sell things with his name. And the Church would have problems with it as well. But, but, but... why don't they respect the traditions we have here?!

Of course, Christmas is not only for religious people. But one thing that all of us should do is thinking of Christmas as the day of love, not only as an occasion for shopping...

Here we go!!!
No more tests/exams until Christmas. I was expected to do a Finance exam on 21st, but after my decision I found out that I have to repeat the Maths test, because I failed to get 18 points from the first 2 together (15-15 points each). So today I did a 30-points test, which came out 24 points. Yayayayay!!! XD
But I replaced the Finance to January.
I put this lovely Christmas lay on my lj - simply wonderful :D I dunno how, but now I experienced all the wonders of expecting Christmas. I have a sleigh (or what) shaped something in my window, made of small coloured bulbs, which I turn on after it gets dark :D
Aldona! :D Something arrived to me yesterday, which says it's from you :D Can't wait until Christmas to open it and see its content ;D Wow, thank you so much for it!
Well, now... I can't write more. I'm somehow too tired to do that...

Oh and I made my Christmas stocking as well... even though we put our presents under the Christmas tree here and we open them on 24th December, in the evening instead of 25th :D

my xmas stocking )
